Fulham Reach Conservatives: Fly-tipping and bin collections hit crisis point

Fulham Reach Conservatives are launching a new campaign demanding Labour-run Hammersmith & Fulham Council cracks down on fly tipping in the borough and raise the minimum fine for those committing this offence.

There have been countless reports of fly-tipping and overflowing bins across the borough, including the communal bins at 1-8 Muscal House, off Field Road.

Despite reporting the problem to the Labour-run Council using their expensive website, no action is taken and residents are forced to suffer.

Our campaign calls on the Labour-run Council to:

1.    Install CCTV by the communal bins of 1 – 8, Muscal House to discourage fly-tipping

2.    Guarantee fly-tipping is cleaned up with 24 hours of being reported to the Council

3.    Apologise to residents for the lack of action on this issue over the past two years.

Rubbish Collection

Thankfully, Conservatives were able to stop Labour from implementing their plan to scrap weekly bin collections.  However, local residents have complained about continuing poor rubbish collection in the area.  Under Labour collections have become infrequent, unreliable and often incomplete.  This isn’t good enough. That is why are calling on the Council to finally listen to residents and take action to address this.

If you would like to report a specific issue to us please get in touch with us using the details below and we will push the Council to act to improve the area.
