Concerned residents continue to ask for greater local police presence

Many residents have spoken to Hammersmith & Fulham Conservatives about the need for a greater visible police presence in the borough.

Residents’ calls come at a time when it has recently been revealed the Labour Mayor of London is cutting Police numbers for Hammersmith & Fulham.  When Boris left City Hall, H&F had 510 police officers.  After eight months of Sadiq Khan, that number was down to 481.  Given the Conservative Government has protected police budgets, there is absolutely no need for these cuts.

Our Police officers carry out a wide range of duties, keeping us safe and ensuring justice for the most vulnerable members of society.

We are therefore asking the Council to support us in prioritising residents’ safety so we see more Police in the Fulham Reach area.
